Check out this graph that shows 30-year fixed rate mortgage rates over the last 30 years. We have been on a cycle of lower and lower rates since the late 1970′s. The average rate for the past 30 years = 8.74%. Today’s rates are hovering around the low to mid-4′s. This is a great opportunity for buyers and investors to get into the housing market.
